NHS Confed Expo: Momentum Building for Health and Care Innovation

The NHS Confed Expo 2025 proved once again why it’s one of the most important gatherings for leaders in health and care.

From the very first session, a clear message emerged: real transformation will come not just from new tech or investment, but from bold collaboration, open conversations, and system-wide courage.

The Expo offered valuable insights across key themes, including:

  • Tackling workforce pressures through digital tools and agile systems

  • Improving data interoperability to support integrated care

  • Embedding AI and automation in a way that improves not burdens frontline delivery

  • Ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance remain at the centre of all innovation

We were especially encouraged by the widespread recognition that innovation must be grounded in reality, not theory. It’s not about technology for technology’s sake, it’s about creating practical tools that make life better for people receiving and delivering care.

As we look ahead, we remain committed to these principles: listening to those on the ground, building with integrity, and making compliance and quality improvement feel human again.
