Care Show Birmingham is one of the biggest dates in the social care calendar, with 300+ suppliers and more than 4,500 care professionals expected across the two days. With CQC ramping up assessments, it's a good moment to step back and look at how your governance actually works day to day.
Why we're back
We exhibited at Care Show last year, and the conversations we had shaped a lot of what we've built since.
The questions from registered managers were remarkably consistent. How do I show CQC that learning from incidents actually changes practice? Why do my audits find the same things every quarter? How do I prove training is working, not just completed?
Those questions are the reason CareLearner has moved from a training platform to a closed-loop governance system. We're coming back to show you what that looks like in practice, and to hear what's changed for you this year.
What you'll see on stand L60 at Care Show Birmingham 2026
A working demo of how incidents, risks, audits, policies, feedback, actions, training and competency connect in one system, so improvement is evidenced rather than assumed.
Most services we meet run governance across several tools: an incident log here, an audit spreadsheet there, a training matrix somewhere else. Each one is fine on its own. The gap is between them. An incident flags a training need, but nobody checks whether the training changed anything. An audit finds an issue, but the action plan lives in someone's inbox.
CareLearner closes that loop. On the stand you can see how a single incident flows through investigation, action planning, targeted training and a follow-up audit, with the evidence trail CQC looks for under well-led governance. Bring a real scenario from your service and we'll walk it through with you.
Joined on the stand by 20X
20X is one of our integration partners and will be with us on stand L60 across both days.
If you already use 20X, or you're weighing up how your systems could talk to each other, this is a good chance to meet both teams together and ask the practical questions: what connects, what data moves where, and what it means for your staff.
Talk CQC with a former Specialist Advisor
I'll be on the stand both days and happy to talk through anything CQC related, whether or not you're interested in CareLearner.
From my time as a CQC Specialist Advisor, the services that struggled on well-led rarely lacked policies or audits. What they lacked was a visible link between finding a problem and fixing it. That's usually a quick conversation to diagnose, and the fix is often simpler than people expect.
Bring your latest report, your action plan, or just the thing that's been bothering you before your next assessment.
